The South Region Chair for Encouraging Women Into Franchising, Kate Matthews of Boddy Matthews, hosted the first meeting of 2019 at Stevens & Bolton’s offices. With guest speakers from NatWest Bank PLC and D&T accountants, the event generated lively discussion about Making Tax Digital and its effect on Franchisors, Franchisees and professional affiliates supporting the franchise industry. The NatWest BFA survey for 2018 also highlighted key aspects of the £17.2billion turnover enjoyed by franchises. With an increase of 37% women entering into the market and 93% reported profitability the industry continues to enjoy an upward surge.
